Arborist in Enner Glynn, Nelson

Enner Glynn’s homes are among the newest in Nelson, with small holdings further up its valley. New homes close to older trees, and rows of shelter trees on bigger blocks, are typical here.

Oliver quotes; he and the team do the work

What will it take in Enner Glynn?

Three things that help Oliver plan a job here before he comes out.

  1. Lifestyle block up the valley? Give the gate width, and say whether a truck can drive across to the tree.
  2. Newer house built near an older tree? Say how far the trunk is from the foundations and the drive.
  3. Several trees or a shelter belt? Count them, and send one wide photo plus a close-up of the biggest.

How the team does it

  • Climbed and taken down in sections, each piece lowered on ropes, or felled in one where there’s room.
  • Branches chipped on site, and the stump ground out if you want it gone.
  • The work area cleaned up before the team leaves.

What Oliver needs for the quote

  • A photo of the whole tree, with the house in shot
  • Its height against the house
  • What’s under or near it
  • The way in: gate, side path or drive
  • Your street

Trees and sections in Enner Glynn

Enner Glynn lies inland from Wakatu and east of Stoke, covering 7.4 square kilometres about 4 km from the cathedral. It came into Nelson City in 1958, along with Stoke and Monaco.

Its homes are newer than most in Nelson: the 2000s are the commonest build decade, and 178 new homes were consented between 2013 and 2026. Most are family houses, with 53% having three bedrooms.

A 2013 plan change opened more of the Enner Glynn Valley to small holdings, so lifestyle blocks with shelter belts and paddock trees sit above the newer streets. Two heritage dawn redwoods stand at 31 and 33 Enner Glynn Road.

Something else? Call 0800 000 105 or send the tree through.

Can you take out a shelter belt?

Yes. A row of shelter trees comes out tree by tree, with the branches chipped on site and the stumps ground out if you want them gone. Send a wide photo of the whole row.

Do you work on lifestyle blocks up the valley?

Yes. Give the gate width and say whether a truck can reach the trees, and Oliver will come out and quote the job.
